Perek 14 Pasuk 30
The Pasuk makes sure it's known to Bnai Isreal that they saw the Egyptians dead
Rashi asks why is it important that they saw them dead
He answers by saying so that Bnai Isreal could be absolutely sure that the Egyptians weren't still alive on the other side of the yam suff
why is it important that they saw them dead?
Rabbi Ginsburgh brings down that this was the "icing on the cake" in terms of Hashem reassuring B'nei Yisrael that He was protecting them and was on their side. To them, it seemed as though He had only taken them out to be drowned at sea or caught by the Egyptians, but Hashem proved both these wrong by the splitting of the sea and the killing of the Egyptians. Basically it was Hashem proving that he was still there and they shouldn't lose faith.
